SQL DBA

Infosys is seeking a MSSQL Server Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate can work remotely in USA, This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
• Experience with MSSQL Server Administration
• Perform database health check list for day-to-day activities -Conduct/Complete: installation, configuration, optimization, server builds, patches, service packs, upgrading and troubleshooting of SQL Servers in Clustered and Non-Clustered Environments.

• Routinely patch SQL servers
• Work with SQL server profiler and generated traces to optimize the performance of the database.
• Create: backup and restore strategies following strict RPO and RTO guidelines.
• Configure and manage high availability solutions: (clustering, database mirroring, log shipping)
• Set up: Always-ON for High availability as a disaster recovery (DR) solution.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Maintain indexes at regular intervals for better performance.
• Schedule jobs to automate different database related activities including backup, monitoring database health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues performance, database integrity, security issues.
• Participate in 24/7 'on-call' support for SQL Server database systems.
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
