We're looking for a Senior Accountant to support key areas of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, which ultimately helps fuel our ability to provide blood and services to those in need. We’re seeking someone who brings a sharp analytical eye, deep knowledge of GAAP, and a drive to improve processes that support smarter, more efficient operations.
What to Expect
Schedule:Monday - Friday
This position will have a hybrid work environment operating from the Scottsdale, AZ location 3 days per week and working from a remote/ at-home office 2 days per week.

As a Sr. Accountant, you'll get to:
• Prepare statistical, financial, and ad hoc reports to support business decisions
• Review transactions, make adjustments, and analyze financial variances to ensure accurate reporting
• File sales and use tax, business license, property tax, and other government forms, and help resolve related issues
• Record monthly financial activity through journal entries
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and bank accounts, recommending adjustments as needed
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation
• Participate in system updates and serve as a subject matter expert when needed

Knowledge/ Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Accounting degree preferred.
• CPA or CPA in progress preferred.
Experience
• Three years of accounting experience required.
Skills/ Abilities
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with all levels of staff and leadership.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to execute multiple priorities and a variable workload throughout the month. Proficient in Excel and other financial tools and systems.
• Aptitude to hold self and others accountable to meet deadlines.
