Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting, financial management, and regulatory compliance. This role requires expertise in various accounting principles and practices, with a focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis. The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.
Duties
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform financial report writing and interpretation for management review.
• Manage tax compliance and reporting, including preparation of tax returns.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct audits and ensure adherence to SOX regulations and other compliance requirements.
• Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices in accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support non-profit accounting initiatives as needed.
• Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, and Microsoft Excel for efficient financial management.
Skills
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, accrual accounting, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in financial software applications for effective data management and reporting.
• Knowledge of securities law, governmental accounting principles, and public accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills for conducting financial analysis and cash flow assessments.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports that inform strategic planning.
• Familiarity with private equity financing and corporate finance principles is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Effective communication skills for conveying complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
