Sr Client Engineer

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Senior Client Engineer is to build performant animated interfaces in a live gaming environment using a react-based tech stack. This senior level position will supervise and mentor junior to mid-level client engineers.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with Company and departmental policies, practices, and procedures. All Company Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Write React Components that adhere to real-money gaming best practices that are resumable to and from any state sent by the server. 

• Work with design team to produce exciting interfaces and animations.

• Develop back-office tools for managing a B2B gaming product.

• Work with a large collaborative team to create a best-in-class product.

• Manage and mentor one or more junior to mid-level client engineers, including hiring, organizing work and adherence to policies, and monitoring and evaluating performance.

• Perform all job responsibilities at a senior level with limited direct supervision.

• Perform job duties in a safe manner.

• Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.

• Proof of authorization to work in the United States.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.

• Deep knowledge of building modern React applications. (Further experience with MobX, Hooks and Styled Components preferred).

• Experience with creating animations based on state. Framer Motion (PoserJS) preferred but also interested in experience with Phaser, ThreeJS, Greensock and others.

• Strong CSS Flexbox layout or HTML Canvas manipulation skill.

• Knowledge of some of the following ideal:

  • Rapidly building form-based interfaces and dynamic data charts

  • gRPC protocol

  • TypeScript

  • AWS

  • GitHub CI Automation

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

• Physically access areas assigned workspace areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Work remotely as necessary.

• Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.

• Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
