Here's what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Senior Data Analyst at ADP. • Data Reporting and Analytics • Analyze data patterns between disparate complex data sources and structures. • Design and develop data extractions and complex transformations using ETL tools to do data research from various data sources with prior experience in Cloud technologies like AWS, Databricks etc. • Create robust data reporting solutions through Cognos and Tableau to support analytics, research, dashboards, data mining, trending etc. • Create and present analysis to individuals in business language to drive business decisions. • Follow SDLC cycle and ensure robust data testing and accuracy. • Collaborate with business team to design, develop, test and refine deliverables. • Design data trending charts using complex datasets. • Develop complex queries against Mainframe, Oracle, DB2, S3, Databricks etc. • Understand the enterprise applications architecture design and development best practices for analytical applications. • Problem Solving • Comfortable working with complex data scenarios with tech that has never been used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution. • Expert problem-solving skills required to interpret complex information and present the best way to move forward. • Technical and Business acumen to participate in the analysis, design, testing and implementation of new and existing business process. • Innovation with ability to “think outside the box” is important. • LearningYou’re always learning and operating with a "figure it out" mentality. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience with a major area of concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Math. Isn't required but could set you apart. • 5 - 7 years of directly related experience in working with complex data engineering and analytics. • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Python, Tableau etc. • Knowledge of advanced scripts/procedures/statements using DML and DDL (SQL statements) against databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc. YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN: • Have courageous team collaboration.Courage comes from how associates are willing to have difficult conversations, speak up, be an owner, and challenge one another's ideas to find the best solution. • Deliver at epic scale.We deliver real user outcomes using strong judgment and good instincts. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions.
