Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Reports To: Senior Finance Manager, Marietta Operations

Group/Division: Laboratory Products Group / Laboratory Equipment Division

Position Location: Marietta, OH or Waltham, MA

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive business decisions through effective analysis and communication with management while providing financial support for Marietta site operations. This position will focus on improving short and long-term profitability of the site by maintaining the site's R&O (risks and opportunities) roadmap as defined by the annual operating plan. This is an exceptional growth opportunity for a highly motivated professional to add value to the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, and communicate recommendations regarding financial plans and operating forecasts.
  • Provide comprehensive finance support to enable delivery of productivity commitments.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports detailing performance of key business metrics and underlying business drivers causing variances to expected results.
  • Assist with month-end close responsibilities.
  • Mentor and support site finance team in developing skills in Hyperion Essbase & Planning.
  • Actively participate in and lead initiatives to improve execution and factory operational performance.
  • Partner with commercial leadership and site finance teams to support and drive the business with timely, accurate, value-added analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist with development and presentation of monthly and quarterly business reviews, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Plan for the site.
  • Monthly revenue, cost, and expense analysis including detailed volume and mix analysis; monthly performance scorecards, site review package, and variances explanations vs. budget, prior year and prior quarter.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Advanced degree or certification (MBA, CMA, or CPA) a plus.
  • 4-8 years of progressive finance or cost accounting experience in a professional setting.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Excel.
  • Experience with SAP, BAAN or other ERP application.
  • Prior experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase.
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus, a high level of integrity, and capable of developing robust relationships across the site and the larger organization.
  • Ability to build complex financial models.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
