The key purpose of the role is to provide line management for Project Accounting team, ensuring that a professional client billing service is delivered by the team and support the one of the UK business divisions. The team will have responsibility of processing high volume of Sales Invoices each month.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage and motivate a team of Project Accountants, whose primary function is creation of Sales invoices (Billing).
• Achieve team objectives by planning work and monitoring results, ensuring the application of standard processes, solving problems and escalating issues.
• Maintain integrity by ensuring agreed controls and procedures are followed.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders so that productive discussions can take place.
• Act as one point of contact for the project managers of various divisions in the UK for any escalation.
• Manage the billing month-end closing process. Provide support to ensure timely and accurate billing close, issue resolution, etc.
• Work closely with team to resolve billing related queries and should possess good knowledge on VAT, Debt & its impact to billing.
• Work on reporting as required by internal and external teams.
• Provide absence cover for team members.
• Provide technical client billing and general accounting support to the team and support the team to resolve any issues.
• Responsible for overseeing all activities within a team and ensuring the timeline is met.
