Sr. Mainframe Solution Delivery Architect - Data Migration

The Solution Delivery Architect, Data Migration will be responsible for configuration of Storage equipment such as Tape and DASD. During new client migrations or hardware upgrades, the Data Migration sysprog will be a point person for moving the client's data into an Ensono data center or onto Ensono hardware, the coordination of these services from a vendor, or the upgrade of the hardware within the same data center. Will also set up replication for client data from point to point or as part of a grid. Will serve as an escalation point for steady state storage issues where the Storage team is unable to find resolution.

Qualifications

10 years experience working within a z/OS environment supporting Tape and DASD functions. Experience supporting Disaster Recovery within a mainframe environment. Understanding of migration of data from one subsystem to another for both Tape and DASD. Experience opening tickets with vendors such as IBM. Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel to a level of creating documents which can be shared with clients. Must be familiar with the concept of data replication.

Secondary Skills

Ability to evaluate proposed architecture for supportability prior to sharing with clients. Successful candidate will be able to design storage solutions to meet client and business requirements. Will lead projects to implement solutions and provide status to Project Managers and clients. Will serve as primary Subject Matter Expert during client data migrations for Storage support. Experience using TAPECOPY or COPYCAT considered a plus. Experience migrating DASD with TDMF also considered a plus.
