Job Description
What You Will Do
• Define the overall design vision for spatial computing products, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs, including interaction paradigms, spatial layout, and user flows within immersive environments.
• Conduct user research to understand user needs and behaviors within spatial computing experiences, then translate insights into iterative prototypes for testing and refinement.
• Design, prototype, and ship interactive features, leveraging spatial computing technologies like real-world object tracking, plane detection, and augmented reality (AR)-driven visualization.
• Translate design concepts, complex business requirements, and functional specifications into executable stories, designs, and code modules in collaboration with Lowe's Innovation Labs software/hardware engineers and product managers.

• Integrate spatial computing features and experiences into broader application ecosystems in collaboration with software engineers, product teams, and other designers.
• Review and refine design deliverables to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Stay updated on emerging spatial computing technologies, hardware capabilities, and development tools to guide design decisions and implementation.
• Evaluate modern development software, tools, and technologies to provide objective analysis and recommendations to the team.
• Automate and simplify team development, tests, and operations processes for efficiency of delivering work.
• Lead a team in support of achieving the company's mission. Manage performance and foster an inclusive environment to help associates achieve their potential.
Required Qualifications
• 8 years of experience in software development or a related field, with a focus on 3D and VR/AR development
• 5 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
• 4+ years in a technology leadership role with direct or indirect reports, requiring interaction with senior leadership
• 4 years of experience in frontend technologies, UX and UI design
• 3+ years working with third-party vendors and/or software providers
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, human-centered design, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with interactive 3D content workflows and 3D engines
• Experience optimizing AR applications for real-time performance and CPU/GPU efficiency, including rendering, tracking, and asset management
• Master's degree in business, technology, or similar advanced degree
Pay Range: $141,000.00 - $267,900.00 annually
