Sr. Software Engineer

Yoh has an exciting opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer! In this role you will be developing full-stack applications with C#/Blazor or Python and leading DevOps automation initiatives. You'll enhance CI/CD workflows using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, and SonarQube, while applying secure coding and infrastructure-as-code practices to support scalable internal platforms and drive organizational growth. Title:Senior Software Engineer Salary:$70-$80/hr DOE Location:San Diego, CA | Dallas, TX | Washington, D.C. Type:6 Month Contract to Hire | Hybrid (3 days onsite/week) Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain internal tools and web applications using C#/Blazor and/or Python to improve operational efficiency across engineering and business teams. • Automate infrastructure processes and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, and related DevOps technologies. • Support and maintain user systems, including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows/Linux desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. • Provide technical support to end-users, manage service tickets, and maintain system reliability across environments. • Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies using Active Directory, Azure, and related identity platforms. • Perform system updates, patches, and enforce IT security best practices to ensure compliance and operational integrity. • Track and manage IT assets (hardware/software), including inventory control, license compliance, tagging, and lifecycle reporting. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance developer workflows, improve internal tooling, and ensure secure, scalable solutions. • Document processes, technical configurations, and contribute to internal knowledge bases to support continuous improvement.Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, internal tools, or DevOps, ideally with a technical degree. • Proficient in C#/Blazor and/or Python for building internal web apps. • Experienced in DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), Git workflows, and automation tooling. • Familiar with system administration tasks, including desktop support, user account management, and IT troubleshooting. • Comfortable working with Windows and Linux environments, both on the development and support side. • Strong grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and secure system configurations. • Experience managing IT assets, using asset management software, and enforcing compliance and tracking procedures. • Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing software development tasks with IT operational support.Preferred Experience • Experience applying DevSecOps principles in security-sensitive environments. • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST SSDF, CIS controls). • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. • Knowledge of secure coding techniques, software integrity verification, and code scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube). • Experience using tools like JIRA for tracking both software and IT support workstreams.Note:Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
