Purpose The Senior Staff Accountant will work as an integral part of the accounting team providing support to ensure that ownership, management and other users are furnished with accurate and timely financial data and analytics regarding the performance of the company and its subsidiaries Primary Duties(includes but not limited to) Lead, prepare, supervise, manage and/or assist in the following: 1. Preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements for all business units/entities 2. Preparation and presentation of financial reports to ownership, management team & external parties 3. Preparation of elimination/consolidation entries 4. Posting reversing & adjusting journal entries 5. Preparation & posting of accrual entries 6. Preparation, tracking & posting of prepaid assets 7. Prepare and complete monthly sales & use tax returns 8. Maintaining reconciliations of pertinent balance sheet & P&L accounts 9. Maintaining documentation & historical information/descriptions supporting & explaining period financial results & calculations with supporting schedules 10. Maintaining and updating the fixed asset system and calculations of depreciation & gains/losses 11. Maintaining and updating the chart of accounts & new business units/entities 12. Reviewing and approving coding/classification of expenditures and revenues 13. Preparation & presentation of financial information, analyses & reports including cost accounting, ratio analysis, trend analysis, variance analysis, etc. 14. Interfacing and communicating with departmental and company personnel 15. Maintaining a user-friendly file/library of accounting reports, records and data 16. Produce and maintain documentation of accounting-related processes 17. Maintaining and updating allocations to various P & L units/entities 18. Internally auditing processes, procedures & internal controls 19. Preparation & verification of various governmental, banking and other compliance requirements 20. Completion of special projects such as upgrades/implementations of budgets or general ledger/ ERP or other software systems, extraordinary transactions, etc. 21. Documenting requirements & testing of Accounting-related requests for changes to the ERP 22. Validate data used for internal management reporting 23. Supporting the annual and other external party audits including providing requested information and responding to inquiries 24. Supporting duties within the purview of the cfo, controller and/or assistant controller including payroll, accounts payable, credit/accounts receivable, internal audit, erp management, etc. Skills/Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting, finance, economics, or related field from an accredited four-year college; minimum of two (2) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience · CPA and/or CMA designation or candidate for same · Highly proficient in analysis & preparation of financial statement information and metrics · Excellent communication, mathematical and analytical skills · Proven ability to work in a team oriented environment · Advanced excel user with proficiency in pivot table analysis & external data links a plus Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite ERP & Power BI a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Jacksonville, FL 32209 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Jacksonville, FL 32209: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
