As a Requirements Leader, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting our project teams in optimally defining, documenting, and leading definition of their project requirements. Your expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and communication will be crucial to ensuring successful project outcomes and customer happiness. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, a deep understanding of requirements engineering methodologies, and proficiency with bringing others along.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal team leads to identify, analyze, and document project requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Conduct workshops, elicitation, and brainstorming sessions to gather and generate requirements
- Analyze and evaluate requirements for clarity, feasibility, and completeness, identifying gaps or inconsistencies and coach teams on opportunities to address them.
- Assist team leaders in categorizing requirements, considering project constraints and dependencies
- Facilitate requirements alignment and conflict resolution, ensuring consensus and collaboration among team leaders
- Guide team leaders in defining acceptance criteria and quality standards for requirements, particularly when subjective or risk-based thresholds apply
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate understanding and interpretation of requirements
- Provide guidance and mentorship on requirements engineering best practices, methodologies, and tools
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance team leaders' understanding of requirements management practices and collect feedback to support continuous assessment and improvement
- Enable teams to efficiently leverage reusable requirements across projects by developing and supplying a standardized requirements database
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in requirements engineering practices
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience eliciting and assembling product requirements in the realm of medical or consumer electronic product development or another related industry
- Familiarity with the development of sophisticated electro-mechanical systems and development lifecycles inclusive of hardware and software subsystems
- Work experience as a Systems Engineer, Requirements Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role with a proven foundation in requirements engineering fundamentals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear and useful requirements
- Exceptional communication and social skills to engage and coach stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in using requirements management tools and software
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in standardized structured problem-solving and risk assessment tools such as FMEAs/FMECAs, FTAs and 8Ds
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with audio devices, wearables, or consumer electronics
- Familiarity with UX design principals
- Familiarity with analog, digital, and RF electronics
- Familiarity with software related functions inclusive of digital signal processing, embedded firmware, cybersecurity, privacy, and app development
- Familiarity with JAMA
- Experience working with contract manufacturers
Education:
BS in one or more Engineering or related technical fields. Graduate degree preferred
CBAP or CPRE certification preferred
