Our team, Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit (PPV) gives Amazon customers the option to seek out one-time virtual visits for 30+ common conditions. We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to partner with our PPV Tech team, consisting of four technical two-pizza teams. You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across the organization. This position requires a broad set of skills ranging from deep-dive analytical problem solving to executive reporting and communication. You will work directly with Tech teams, Product and business teams, and all partner teams within and outside of AHS. The ideal candidate demonstrates proven software delivery experience, excels at building mechanisms for program management, and can thrive in our start-up environment by continuously improving processes. You'll partner with teams within and outside AHS, requiring excellent communication skills to build consensus when faced with differing viewpoints. Technical qualifications include understanding systems in your product space, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and the reasoning behind architectural decisions. You should be able to question proposals, test assumptions, and partner with Senior/Principal Engineers to ensure architectures scale to match business requirements. #everydaybetter Key job responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Drive the roadmap for the organization, contributing to OP1/OP2 narratives and owning organizational goals • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align needs and drive crisp decision-making • Oversee gaps between teams, processes, and system architectures to reduce exposure to failure modes • Proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks • Analyze data, drive improvements quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation • Make smart trade-offs between time, effort, and features • Develop and maintain mechanisms to track progress, regularly reviewing metrics for visibility • Write effective narratives, status reports, escalation docs and present them to Directors and VPs • Mentor and develop other team members, providing constructive feedback About the team We are Amazon OneMedical Pay-Per-Visit (PPV) team part of Amazon Health Services (AHS) organization. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
