Job Description
Sr. Analysts/Consultants - Database Engineering for Chicago, IL location. Performance tuning of Oracle databases. Provide operational support for applications PostgreSQL and Oracle including 24x7 support. Respond to incident tickets, participate in bridge calls and deploy changes to production system. Understanding of and ability to work with RAC and Exadata. Design proof of concepts. Coordinate support for VTM patching with application teams and open systems. Execute disaster recovery plans and demonstrate knowledge of backup and recovery processes. Automate processes on PostgreSQL/Oracle team using Ansible and AWX. Respond to audit requests. Technical Environment: AWS, Oracle 19c RAC, Oracle 12c RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, Exadata, GoldenGate, PostgreSQL 12, UNIX, Shell Scripting, VI editing, Splunk, Ansible, GIT, AWX, data modeling, database design.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or any Science or any Engineering field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a database administrator/systems engineer required. Required Skills: Experience with: Oracle 12c RAC, Performance tuning of Oracle databases, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, UNIX, Shell Scripting, VI editing. Education or experience with: PostgreSQL, GIT, proof of concept design, data modeling, database design. Some telecommuting permitted.
