Nextiva’s Head of Pricing and Monetization Strategy will lead and drive our pricing, packaging and monetization business plans. This position requires strong capabilities in both strategy — thought leadership, analytical prowess, data-driven thinking, creativity — and execution — leadership and conviction, ability to build process and drive to outcomes, and caring deeply about results. You will lead quantitative and qualitative research with customers and of competitors to support the pricing and monetization strategy and build a framework to measure effectiveness of the pricing model. This is an exciting opportunity to transform Nextiva’s pricing strategy. You will directly impact Nextiva’s trajectory and business success and have the opportunity to build the pricing, packaging and monetization organization for our future growth.

Using pricing strategies, the leader will drive how we use price as a strategic tool to acquire customers and grow revenue at explosive rates. This includes how we develop customer acquisition models, bundle features and create product packages, expand markets, and use our platform and pricing to expand relationships with our customers. Working with partners in technology, marketing, and sales, the Head of Pricing Strategy will drive data decision-making that drives growth and improves revenue and profit at multiples of industry growth. This role reports directly to the Chief of Strategic Execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of Nextiva’s pricing and packaging strategy through data analysis and modeling, experimentation and research
  • Drive momentum for these solutions with executive and senior leadership
  • Generate market insights, drive competitive analysis, and build and leverage quantitative models in support of pricing and packaging recommendations
  • Optimize product portfolio by creating effective strategies & programs to increase customer acquisition and cross-sell/up-sell
  • Build the framework for testing and measuring the effectiveness of our pricing and packaging decisions, to evolve and iterate on our strategy
  • Oversee and optimize pricing operations through technologies and process transformation.
  • Create a promotions and offers strategy that ladders up to the company's commercial and GTM strategy
  • Lead the execution and implementation of strategic decisions and day to day monetization operations
  • Develop operational strategy and roadmap for key capability needs and gaps aligned to commercial and product outcomes
  • Learning from various industries and models to apply create methodology to pricing
  • Drive and lead pricing-related activities over the product life cycle, including establishing pricing strategies, list prices, and discount levels
  • Develop and present analytical insights related to pricing and monetization
  • Establish essential metrics, assess the performance of pricing strategies for goals, and recommend changes to improve financial performance
  • Monitor market trends that may improve topline and/or bottom-line outcomes
  • Help develop recommendations related to Ideal Customer Profiles and target markets
  • Work with Sales leadership to ensure agreement of price and packaging with market needs
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, market share and margins, and track customer engagement to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading pricing and packaging strategy and execution at a companywide or business unit-level
  • 10+ years of experience in technology, with experience at a modern, CCaaS company
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution skills and ability to manage multiple projects & priorities
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis capabilities, proficient in statistical analysis & financial modeling
  • Proven experience driving results on executive level decisions and actions on pricing and monetization strategies
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing or related discipline. Advanced degree in a related area preferred
  • Strong leadership and excellent written / verbal communications to work with senior executives across various functions and groups
  • High aptitude to learn quickly, provide critical thinking on new and unknown tasks, and works well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of Economics principles that relate to pricing, packaging, and monetization
  • Ability to influence and lead teams, with a track record for building talented teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments
  • Experience with Enterprise Agreements and deal structuring for optimization

Compensation, Rewards & Benefits:

The salary wage offered by Nextiva to external candidates considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, etc. Our compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Our estimate of the expected hiring range for the position as posted is $155,000 - $241,110. A different level in the job hierarchy may apply to a specific candidate resulting in a different hiring range.
