POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Financial Analyst (Accountant) will assist in and be responsible for month-end close and related account analyses, reconciliations, roll forwards and reporting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

MAIN DUTIES:

The Sr. Financial Analyst (Accountant) will be responsible for ensuring a timely and accurate monthly close, including proper matching of revenues/expenses and performing variance analysis as needed to support the C3M finance team. Their duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Prepare and post monthly recurring and non-recurring journal entries to the G/L (D365).
• Prepare and post biweekly payroll journal and accruals for all Canadian divisions to the G/L.
• Prepare monthly payroll detail report for all Canadian divisions.
• Analyze rebate programs and agreements to determine appropriate accrual amounts.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing team to ensure accurate tracking of rebate programs.
• Review monthly WIP schedules for proper accrual or deferral of revenues by customer & project.
• Review AP invoices for proper coding, approval routing and PO matching.
• Analyze, reconcile and follow-up on worldwide intercompany transactions and balances.
• Prepare supporting schedules via downloads from the G/L and various external billing modules.
• Track prepaid expenses and accruals including preparation of amortization schedules.
• Review monthly P&L with finance team to ensure accurate financials before closing the period.
• Assist with preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations across multiple business units.
• Assist with preparation of balance sheet budgets for all areas of responsibility.
• Provide support for interim and annual audits for all areas of responsibility.
• Provide backup support to current staff overseeing cash accounts & cashflow support.
• Help support intercompany reconciliations
• Perform special projects and prepare ad hoc financial analyses as required by management or requested by operations and finance teams.

WHAT YOU BRING:

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, including thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Progressive experience in an accounting role, including experience with month-end reporting; budgeting and forecasting experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
• MS Dynamics 365 accounting software experience preferred.
• Proficient in all standard PC applications, specifically intermediate to advanced experience with Excel, including using pivot tables, functions, formulas, lookups, etc.
• Solid communication skills with ability to interact effectively with multiple contacts outside the dept.

• Well organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize various tasks to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven department.
