Description
The Sr Infrastructure Resiliency Architect assists the resiliency planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to on-premise and cloud computing. The Sr Infrastructure Resiliency Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Sr Infrastructure Resiliency Architect will have an especially deep level of network architecture, engineering, and support experience for on-premise, multi-datacenter, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
The Sr Infrastructure Resiliency Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of resiliency specifications for on-premise and cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT Disaster Recovery cloud computing solutions and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as disaster recovery standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
The focus for this role will be to partner with Architects and Engineers across all Business IT in the following areas:
- Partner with Compute, Storage, Network and End User Compute enterprise engineering and operation teams to assess and build an assurance for high-availability in designs and best practices.
- Partner with NOC and Site Reliability Engineering teams to design and implement sophisticated monitoring methods for to capture resiliency health capabilities across all of our technology domains infrastructure.
- Partner with Site Reliability Engineering and Incident Management in architecting and implement resiliency health scoring across our technology domains
- Partner with technology domain leaders and SME's to implement workstreams for evaluating resiliency remediations and provide a path to capture technical debt for prioritization and investment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ more years of technical experience
- 6+ more years of networking architecture experience for cloud and on-prem
- 4+ more years of facilitation and practicing of agile framework (Scrum, Kanban)
- 4+ years of architecting and implementing resiliency frameworks
- 4+ years architecting infrastructure implementations for IaaS and CaaS for on-prem and Cloud
- 4+ years engineering and supporting network implementations
- 2+ years of automation pipeline tool chains
- 2+ years as a cloud infrastructure architect for either Azure, AWS and/or GCP
- Expertise in developing multi-year roadmaps
- Demonstratable writing skills to produce academic and whitepaper level documentation for reference materials
- Advanced knowledge of virtualization platforms
- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code frameworks and tools like TerraForm, Ansible
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of cloud infrastructure architecture for Azure, AWS and GCP
- Experience with Azure DevOps Agile tool set.
- Experience in reporting tools, especially PowerBI

- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
