Sr. iOS Developer - Contract - Remote

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer (Contract)  to join our growing team, with an opportunity to contribute to significant parts of a rapidly expanding online digital platform.

quip’s product team works as an integrated unit with contributions from teams across the company and there is particularly close work within design, product, and engineering. Communication and collaboration are a critical part of the job. Quip’s mobile products are in their beginning phases of development - this is a truly unique opportunity to come in and own new products which will operate at scale on day 1, building with industry best practices and working with the backend team to create the APIs which will power the applications we deliver. From smart devices to novel services, our roadmap is filled with awesome stuff to work on. Come join us! 

This is a part-time contracted opportunity. Candidates must be able to work 25-30 hours per week for a ~6 month contract. Start date and hours are flexible.

• Develop Quip’s iOS applications
• Collaborate with cross-platform teams in building new features
• Build clean and testable code to drive the team forward in a high standard

• 5+ years of experience building iOS applications (Swift and/or Objective-C)
• Fluent in Swift with large scale production applications
• Experience writing unit and automated tests (XCTest, XCUITest, Appium)
• Experience with Bluetooth frameworks and methodologies (CoreBluetooth, GATT)

• Working knowledge of Ruby/Rails, GraphQL, and/or Rest
• Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP)
• Solid understanding of networking protocols
• Solid understanding of core fundamentals (GCD)
• Experience with reactive programming concepts (Combine, RxSwift)
• Experience using Git in a professional setting
• Worked in a HIPAA or other regulated compliance environment
