JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the NE Team responsible for designing implementing and supporting secure and scalable network infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services. Key Responsibilities

• Architect and support enterprise network infrastructure across public cloud and on-prem environments.

• Configure and manage routers switches firewalls VPNs and load balancers.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency packet loss and connectivity issues.

• Implement network automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible Python or Terraform.

• Collaborate with InfoSec and DevOps teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations.

• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network-related issues.

• Document network architecture configurations and operational procedures.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations.

• Deep expertise in TCP/IP BGP OSPF VLANs and subnetting.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Palo Alto and Fortinet devices.

• Proficiency in cloud networking (AWS and Azure) including VPCs Transit Gateways Direct Connect and VPNs VNets and Express Routes.

• Familiarity with SD-WAN network segmentation and zero-trust architectures.

• Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or PowerShell for automation.

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds Datadog Prometheus) and logging frameworks (e.g. ELK).

• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g. PCI DSS SOC 2).

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $87500 to $131100 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications expertise and the candidate’s geographical location.
