Position: Sr. Pipeline TD (Unreal)
Location: Vancouver, BC / Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
*Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000 CAD annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Pipeline TD (Unreal Engine) sits within our Realtime VFX department which is responsible for writing artist facing tools primarily built within and to support our workflows in Unreal Engine. Attention to the artist experience is vital to be successful in this position.
You will collaborate in a team who are creating new workflows to enable artists to create high quality pre-rendered and runtime work.
MAIN DUTIES:
To be successful in this role you will:
- Design and implement tools and engine features for Unreal Engine
- Troubleshoot and optimize engine performance problems
- Design tools to integrate Unreal Engine into traditional VFX and animation production pipelines
- Develop quality, reusable code
- Write and deliver software projects that meet high quality software development standards
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Computer Science degree or similar
- Strong experience in C++ and a focus on computer graphics
- Experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprint APIs
- Experience with Unreal Engine Python API (nice to have)
- An understanding or willingness to understand a VFX or feature animation production pipeline
- Hands-on experience with virtual production workflows (nice to have)
- An approachable, proactive and accommodating attitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills

*The listed pay range represents the lowest to highest range that we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The benefits for eligible part-time employees working 25 or more hours per week and full-time employees in the US include a comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off. The benefits for eligible project hires and part-time employees working less than 25 hours per week in the US include retirement, select insurance benefits, and where required by law, health benefits.
