Title:Â Senior Project Manager/Leader
Location: Toronto, ONÂ Hybrid - Candidate must be able to work 3 days on site and 2 days remote

Description:
This role involves providing project management expertise for overseeing the planning and implementation of initiatives related to patient access to Personal Health Information (PHI) in Ontario. The individual will work closely with Ontario Health (OH) to align projects with the provincial digital health strategy, modernizing Electronic Health Records (EHR), and improving services like Health811.
Key responsibilities include managing project dependencies, mitigating risks, ensuring deliverables are met, and facilitating multiple project workstreams using established project management methodologies. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date project schedules, tracking budgets, and developing reporting tools. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to maintain an integrated project plan, prepare communication materials, and support strategic planning for future project phases.
The position requires a deep understanding of Ontario’s legislation on PHI access, digital health tools (like patient portals), and secure login mechanisms. The individual must be familiar with digital health systems, EHRs, and the technical, policy, and clinical aspects of digital health, ensuring best practices in project management are upheld throughout.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Health Sector and Digital Health Experience: Requires a deep understanding of Ontario’s healthcare system, structures, processes, and stakeholders. Extensive experience in the health sector, knowledge of digital health systems, programs, and vendors is essential.

Program and Project Management: Emphasizes a strong track record in managing complex projects within scope, budget, and timelines. It requires leadership and resource management skills, along with familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK) and tools (e.g., MS Project).

IT Strategy and Planning: Focuses on strategic planning in health technology, defining objectives, analyzing options, and developing actionable implementation plans. The ability to clearly communicate strategic decisions is key.

Business Analysis: Calls for experience in managing business projects, process mapping, requirements gathering, and leading organizational transformation initiatives, all while achieving results on time and within budget.

Stakeholder Relationship Management: Involves working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, managing cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, and ensuring clear communication and expectations.
Each area highlights the importance of specialized experience, strategic thinking, and leadership in digital health and project management.
