The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day activities applying accounting principles and procedures for various accounting month end closing journal entries, account reconciliations, and to ensure appropriate accounting control procedures to close the financial period and support audits of such information. The accountant also assists with balance sheet review process, SOX compliance, annual audits for various areas and assist with various projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure timely completion daily, weekly, and monthly entries and reconciliations for Revenue accounting, Royalty revenue/expense, Lease accounting, Name List revenue, and Gift card accounting
• Work with corporate enterprise team on Lease and Gift Card accounting team/systems to ensure monthly entries, reporting and reconciliations are completed timely.
• Assist manager with monthly account reconciliation coordination and balance sheet review reporting/meeting preparation.
• Order Management System project involvement and other projects as needed
• Track and reconcile inventory at 3rd party manufactures that process or assemble our work-in-process or finished goods inventory.
• Monitor/age goods-received-not-invoiced and complete PO account maintenance for both 3rd party POs' and inventory POs'.
• Assist with costing request and seek approval for changes before completing all received and approved changes into SAP while ensuring accuracy in data entry and running weekly audits
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required
• At least two years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Order to Cash/Revenue cycle, lease accounting, and other general accounting areas
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced formula) and Microsoft Access required
• Highly pro-active with the ability to work to deadlines
