Sr. Systems Architect

DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA) Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Architect Engineer based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position does not require travel.

Responsible for defining the overall architecture of the system and the internal and external interfaces of the sub-systems, based on cascaded system requirements; estimating, planning and tracking efforts related to systems architecture tasks and deliverables; defining and documenting assumptions and constraints; documenting the architectural approach for the assigned projects; defining concept and scope; creating the systems architectural design; creating static and dynamic architecture models based on the defined architectural approach; ensuring traceability and consistency of architecture artifacts to system and sub-system requirements; supporting reviewing and approving system requirements related to architecture; driving reviews of architecture work products; working with the system integrator to ensure defined interfaces test coverage; and working with the system integrator to ensure defined interfaces test coverage.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and five years of experience in Job offered or related occupation in system engineering. Experience must include: Five (5) years of experience using model based / SysML tools for architecture development, including Sparx EA, IBM Rhapsody, ANSYS Scade; Three (3) years of product development experience, delivering production-ready engineering solutions to customers; Three (3) years of experience using task management tools, including JIRA, and IBM RTC; Three (3) years of experience with the full product development lifecycle in the automotive industry; and experience using industry standard requirements management tools, including Polarion, IBM DNG, and MKS.
