Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in contributing to the financial reporting success at PharmaCann.  This person is accountable for the accurate and timely data entry, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of PharmaCann. They will maintain financial records and reports, perform account reconciliations, and book journal entries on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The role will involve continuous improvement and technology initiatives and will include a contribution to the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting.

Starting pay for this position is $60,000/year

Duties and responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and efficient data entry of financial transactions into the company's accounting software and databases.
• Reconcile data discrepancies by reviewing and comparing source documents, identifying, and rectifying errors.
• Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, both physical and electronic, for audit and reporting purposes.
• Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate data and reconciliations as needed.
• Assist in various ad hoc financial projects and tasks as directed by supervisors.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
