Staff Accountant

Position Overview: We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedStaff Accountantto join our growing finance team in Houston, TX. This role will support the daily accounting operations and help ensure the financial health of our business as we scale. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withQuickBooks Online (QBO),Brex, andRampand be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily bookkeeping and general ledger entries inQuickBooks Online • Reconcile credit card and expense management tools such asBrexandRamp • Manage accounts payable and vendor invoicing processes • Support monthly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations • Help prepare financial reports and assist with internal and external audits • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership on financial needs • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Requirements: • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or technology company • Proficiency withQuickBooks Online (QBO) • Hands-on experience with spend platforms • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities • Understanding of GAAP principles and basic financial reporting • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Preferred Qualifications: • Experience inAccounts Payable (AP) • Prior exposure to audit support or month-end close • Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting processes • Rippling Experience What We Offer: • Competitive salary and equity packages • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays • Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven, innovative company • A collaborative and fast-paced work environment Join Paladin Drones and contribute to the future of autonomous emergency response technology.
