Build Accuracy. Support Financial Strength. Capitol Aggregates is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll support the financial reporting process by preparing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and financial statements. This position is a strong fit for someone with foundational accounting knowledge and a commitment to learning and contributing to a fast-paced finance environment. What You’ll Do • Prepare general ledger entries and complete monthly account reconciliations. • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements. • Assist with quarterly reporting and coordination of external financial audits. • Contribute to timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable. • Help organize and execute special projects as assigned by management. • Maintain accurate documentation and support financial data integrity. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accounting alignment. • Assist with continuous improvement efforts for accounting processes and reporting systems. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment. • Capacity to work independently while supporting a collaborative team culture. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
