Staff Accountant

The Role:  Staff Accountant: Our Staff Accountant will help analyze and classify business expenses in an accurate and timely manner. You have a strong sense of duty and commitment to the work you do and know its importance to many others. Consistent workload plus clarity of tasks come together in this fast paced environment as you process through well established procedures. Your conservative, careful, and cautious perspective will be heavily relied on when verifying our financial statements.. Because others describe you as extremely task-oriented with high standards of quality and accuracy, you will be a fantastic fit in our Staff Accountant role.

As our Staff Accountant, you will receive:

• Salary range $65-85K dependent on experience

As Staff Accountant, you will:

• Analyze and appropriately classify all business expenses
• Manage our fixed asset schedules
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Evaluate and assess the accuracy of financial information 
• Assist with Revenue Operations, Payroll and other accounting responsibilities 
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working with employees, PEO and Human Resource Department
• Review and approve payroll
• Collect, verify, and process payments to 3rd party vendors and affiliates
• Oversee employee corporate credit cards
• Create, modify and maintain spreadsheets using Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Assist team members with various financial reports, projects and other duties, as needed 

What you need to be a Staff Accountant:

• Reside in the state of Utah, with the ability to work in the office on given days. Prefer candidate to live within 30-45 minutes from the office, which is located in Pleasant Grove, UT 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Excel and/or Google Sheets proficiency
• Quickbooks Online experience preferred
• Task Management software experience preferred (Teamwork, Asana, etc.)
