Staff Accountant

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of corporate finance principles. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial management of the organization. The Staff Accountant will work closely with other departments to provide insightful account analysis and contribute to the financial health of the company. Responsibilities • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP. • Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. • Analyze accounts and prepare detailed reports for management review. • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance. • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls. • Utilize financial software, Oracle Netsuite • Collaborate with team members on various financial projects and initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience in corporate finance or a similar accounting role. • Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. • Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping and bank reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with financial software applications, particularly Quicken and PeopleSoft. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
