Staff Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivatedStaff Accountantto join our team in our Austin, Texas office. This position will work under the direction of the Controller. Responsibilities: • Manage bank account statements & debt entries for loans. • Reconcile bank accounts & formulate register update for review daily. • Enter AP for Insurance, Interest & other obligations • Perform monthly GL account reconciliations. • Record journal entries accurately. • Accrue unapproved invoices monthly. • Provide accounting support for Accountant & Controller. • Assist with month end close. • Assist with year-end audit prep. • Assist with other projects on an ad hoc basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and detail oriented. • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel specifically) • Viewpoint or Spectrum experience a plus. Education and Experience: • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in related discipline or 2+ years of Construction Accounting experience in lieu of education. Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions: • Prolonged periods of sitting. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Office-based work with varying temperatures. • Occasional travel to jobsites with fluctuations in weather.
