Staff Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software. Responsibilities • Responsible for maintaining the General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledgers in the JD Edwards system. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. • Prepare the month end supporting schedules and journal entries. • Assist with the financial statement preparation. • Assist in the preparation of the annual tax filing support schedules. • Reconcile the bank accounts. • Assist with budgets and audit preparation supporting schedules. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations. • Government reporting. • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and other duties as assigned. Experience: • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance • 2+ year’s experience • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Other considerations: • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. • Ability to work independently as well as a team player. • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
