Staff Accountant

About the Role We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team supporting multiple companies in the real estate development sector. You’ll work under the direct supervision of a CPA and handle accounting for shopping centers and other real estate developments. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant with strong real estate knowledge who thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities · Record and manage accounting transactions in QuickBooks Enterprise · Prepare monthly account & bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies · Manage intercompany accounting across multiple businesses · Administer accounts payable, receivable, and semi-monthly payroll · Handle credit card accounting for multiple entities and individuals · Prepare financial statements, management reports, and assist with tax filings · Support monthly and annual close processes, including 1099 annual reporting · Analyze financial performance and recommend process improvements · Collaborate with CPA on reconciliations, audits, tax returns, and special projects Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in accounting · Minimum 5 years of real estate accounting experience · Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles · Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise · Experience with payroll administration · Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook · Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities · Excellent communication and presentation skills · High attention to detail, able to work independently Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $80,001.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid sick time • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
