Staff Accountant

Job Title:Staff Accountant Location:Houston, TX Compensation:$75k-$80k / year Benefits:This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-orientedStaff Accountantto join our fast-paced, high-volume accounting team. This role will support daily accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance • Maintain accurate financial records • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts • Prepare financial reports and support internal reporting requirements • Ensure proper coding of expenses and adherence to accounting policies • Help manage accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed • Support audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and documentation • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Qualifications: • 2+ years of accounting experience in a similar role • Finance or Accounting degreerequired • Strong understanding of GAAP and the full accounting cycle • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required How to Apply: Sound like a match?
