Job Description

A large real estate investment and management firm is seeking an Accountant to join their team and perform the day-to-day accounting, treasury, and operational tasks for an assigned portfolio of real estate properties and investment vehicles. This is a hands-on roll with exposure to all aspects of the business and potential for significant growth. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: β€’ Prepare and maintain books and records for assigned properties/entities β€’ Prepare monthly financial statements for distribution β€’ Prepare monthly lender reporting β€’ Prepare monthly work papers with supporting documentation β€’ Reconcile bank accounts β€’ Book all transactions into accounting software (RealPage) β€’ Participate in monthly draw process β€’ Participate in coordination and completion of annual audits β€’ Participate in preparation of property budgets and projections β€’ Interact with internal management, internal investment team, internal property managers, banking institutions, investors, lenders, JV partners, external tax and legal advisors, and auditors as necessary β€’ Participate in deal closings including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions β€’ Ad hoc projects as requested QUALIFICATIONS: β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting β€’ 0-3 years of Real estate investment accounting/operations experience at an owner/operator/lender or third-party administrator (open to recent graduates) β€’ Motivated and dependable team player with impeccable ethics who maintains strict confidentiality β€’ Excellent written and oral communication skills β€’ Self-starter with the ability to work independently β€’ Sound business acumen and decision-making skills with an aptitude for identifying when issues need escalation to senior management β€’ Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite β€’ Proficiency with RealPage software is a big plus but not required β€’ β€˜No job is too small’ mentality #AIONhire Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
