Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our finances on track. From monthly variance analysis and cash flow updates to compliance reporting and budget support, you’ll provide the clarity and structure that empowers our team to thrive. What You’ll Do • Conduct monthly P&L variance analysis with commentary • Deliver end-of-month working files to support EOM reporting • Prepare and distribute spend reports to budget owners (monthly/quarterly) • Review and record credit card transactions and related accruals • Ensure cost centers are assigned to all GL transactions feeding into Acterys Power BI • Maintain and update daily and weekly cash flow statements • Support budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting cycles • Oversee federal and state compliance requirements (licenses, filings, tax obligations) • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries • Assist Finance Lead with audit and compliance reporting What We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics • 2+ years of accounting experience • Strong skills in data storytelling and business partnering • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel About Scoot Education Scoot Education is a thoughtful staffing partner with a mission to help create exceptional experiences in education.
