Staff Accountant

SUMMARY Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Work with controller or Internal Audit Manager with various accounting projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. • Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses and individuals. • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities. • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems. QUALIFICATIONS This position requires the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage one's schedule in an optimum fashion. Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork are also essential to the Staff Accountant's success. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting. Minimum of (3) years of related industry experience in Accounting LANGUAGE SKILLS The Staff Accountant must be proficient in English and able to communicate in verbal form. The ability to speak additional languages is preferred. SKILLS This individual must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in using Excel, and have the ability to use these tools and technology to reach customers and prospects in an innovative manner.
