As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Solar Installer to join our team in New Jersey. Job Description The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the management of the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures. This role requires a keen attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Key Responsibilities • All functions of AP/AR • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation. • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Assist with the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other financial reports. • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions. • Maintain and update accounting records and files. • Review and process expense reports. • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. • Stay updated with current accounting policies and regulations. • Collaborate with the team to improve financial procedures and ensure compliance. • Provide support to the accounting department as needed. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 2-3+ years of experience in accounting or a related role. • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite Preferred). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
