Hellas, Inc.,the #1 Sports Construction company in North America, is seeking a driven and detail-orientedStaff Accountantto join our Accounting team. This role is critical in supporting financial operations across multiple divisions by managing accounting processes, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance. The Staff Accountant will partner closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data that drives business decisions.
Headquartered in Cedar Park, TX, Hellas is the largest sports construction contractor in the United States. Specializing in the general construction of sports facilities and synthetic surfaces, Hellas also champions innovative artificial turf manufacturing, base construction, and the planning, installation, and maintenance of fields, tracks, and tennis courts. Hellas is the only fully integrated sports construction company, controlling all business operations to deliver its products directly to the end-user, including marketing, sales, quality control, project management, maintenance, and warranty.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepare and review general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including accruals, consolidations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Manage expense reporting in Concur, including account setup, training, coding, approvals, and system uploads.
• Oversee company credit card program, including issuance, reconciliation, fraud resolution, and compliance.
• Support inventory accounting processes: posting transfers, invoice processing, reconciliations, and variance reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules, including additions, disposals, and depreciation entries.
• Complete assigned reconciliations for intercompany accounts, cash activity, and various balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with compliance filings such as sales/use tax, annual reports, and federal registrations (e.g., SAM.gov).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; construction or multi-state industry experience a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., ComputerEase, Sage, SAP Concur) preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the company.
• High integrity in handling confidential information.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
