VillageCare has delivered quality health care services to individuals residing within New York City for over 45 years.WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A STAFF ACCOUNTANT As a Full-Time Staff Accountant at VillageCare, you will play a critical role in monitoring and reporting daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts, ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. Your responsibilities will include initiating and confirming wire transfers and ACH payments while utilizing the CashPro bank portal to manage various treasury operations, such as placing stop payments and running reports for audit readiness. You will also support the preparation of cash flow forecasts, perform account reconciliations, and maintain accurate records of cash transactions. As part of your position, you will investigate discrepancies in bank statements, process cash receipts, and manage the claims payments tracker for accurate reporting. Additionally, you'll assist with audits and serve as a backup to the Treasury Manager, ensuring the continuity of key treasury functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with pivot tables, lookups, and formulas, is crucial for effective data analysis and report generation. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount to ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reconciliations. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively. Strong verbal and written communication skills will aid in coordinating with internal teams and external banking partners.
