This position may be filled in a hybrid or remote capacity in any of our locations. Occasional in-person work required, typically once per month.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of general accounting functions; including Fixed Assets, select GL account maintenance and analysis, and Tax Tracking. Essential job functions include:
β’ Perform monthly bank reconciliations with variety of complexity for all firm accounts.
β’ Perform daily reconciliation of Bank to Book activity
β’ Assist with Bank Account maintenance and Banking Relationships
β’ Track and file Unclaimed Property
β’ Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly financial statements, and other standard and ad-hoc reports as necessary.
β’ Perform internal audit of general ledger accounts
β’ Track and reconcile payroll deductions
β’ Perform new vendor audits
β’ Research and resolve questions received regarding financial statements and general ledger activity.
β’ Assist with various operations of the general ledger accounting processes and activities.
β’ Prepare audit schedules related to bank accounts, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, charitable contributions, and assist the auditors in their general ledger inquiries.
β’ Assist with tracking of fixed assets
β’ Assist with tracking of tax payments
β’ Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
β’ High School Diploma or GED required, 2-year degree preferred.
β’ 3-5 yearsβ experience required.
β’ Detail-oriented with a demonstrated understanding of accounting principles.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
β’ Excellent proofreading and analytical skills required.
β’ Excellent organizational skills required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
β’ State of California: $48,000 - $92,000
β’ State of Colorado: $44,000 - $79,000
β’ State of Illinois: $43,000 - $84,000
β’ State of Massachusetts: $48,000 - $92,000
β’ State of Maryland: $47,000 - $71,000
β’ State of Minnesota: $48,000 - $80,000
β’ Washington, D.C.: $62,000 - $91,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
