Job Description
As an established and successful Property Management Company, supporting resorts across the country, we are hiring a Seasoned Staff Accountant with experience supporting Timeshare & Property Management. The successful Candidate will live in the Las Vegas area and understand the intricacies of our industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Audit statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
· Audit and reconcile all revenue postings.
· Reconcile daily activity and close all accounts in preparation of the next day.
· Process monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
· Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
· Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
· Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing reports.
· Identify any mistakes in the entries made and resolve them.
· Help balance all the financial accounts at the end of each month and the financial year.
· Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
· Perform administrative duties such as filing, mailing, etc.
· Coordinate audit work with external auditors
· Post payroll journals in the accounting system
· Calculate monthly and quarterly taxes related to the resort activity
· Assist in preparation of the annual budgets
· Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Essential Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to analyze information, thoroughness
· Confidentiality is a must.
· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
· Strong time management, project management, task prioritization, and organizational skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
· Financial Software knowledge of Peachtree, QuickBooks, and SPI is a plus.
· Financial Reporting knowledge is required.
· Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Essential Qualifications:
· 5+ years accounting experience in the Property Management industry is a must.
· Knowledge about ledger maintenance & accounts reconciliation
· Strong proficiency MS Office applications especially Excel and Word.
· Working knowledge of accounting principles
· Knowledge of Crystal Reports is a plus
· Knowledge about lodging and sales taxes
· Knowledge about payroll reports
· Knowledge in budget base zero
Compensation & Benefits:
· Hourly wage is commensurate with experience
