Staff Accountant II (Kubota Tractor Corporation)

For Earth For Life BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION Responsible for daily financial transactions, journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses for one or more Kubota subsidiaries in accordance with GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies. This position will require an analytical mind, the ability to communicate ideas, and the personality to be able to work collaboratively with team members from multiple functions. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines: • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. • Prepare journal entries, support calculations, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Support timely and accurate preparation of quarter-end and year-end financial reporting package to parent company and annual financial statements and disclosures. • Prepare and support internal and external audit requests. • Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures. • Evaluate and recommend opportunities for process improvements and standardization of accounting tasks and reports. • Perform analytical review of general ledger accounts to identify variances or trends which will aid in business management decisions. • Perform additional duties as assigned.SPECIAL PROJECTS • Support special projects as directed by leadership.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. • MBA or CPA license preferred.SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years related experience in accounting required. • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting processes such as month/quarter/year-end close. • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. • High attention to detail, strong time management skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines. • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Experience with a major ERP system (SAP strongly preferred).Kubota is an equal opportunity at will employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.
