Staff Accountant, Investment Accounting

Position Summary

Staff Accountant responsible for reviewing and reconciling investment accounting information, preparing monthly journal entries, and assisting in the preparation of investment reports and analytics.

Primary Responsibilities

• Reviewing and reconciling daily trade activity.
• Reconciling par reconciliation between accounting system and custodian banks.
• Performing system data integrity checks prior to the monthly and quarterly close.
• Assist in preparing and loading monthly and quarterly journal entries for each accounting close.
• Assist in preparing internal supporting schedules for both STAT and GAAP.
• Assist with the various audits of the company records, working with internal and external auditors.
• Assisting managers and co-workers with special projects.

Candidate Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (investment accounting/operations is a plus).
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as this position will work with other departments throughout the monthly and quarterly close process.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic and analytical skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and function independently and effectively.

Compensation

Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $75,000 per year to $95,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position also provides applicable employee benefits, as well as eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
