Staff Accountant - Reporting & Compliance, India

As a Staff Accountant – Reporting and Compliance at Branch, we're looking for a detail oriented staff accountant based in Bangalore to manage India Accounting operations and support compliance requirements. Strong accounting skills, flexibility in working hours, and the ability to work under a senior’s guidance are essential for candidates. Our accounting team, characterized by diversity and collaboration, is dedicated to ensuring timely and precise financial reporting. This position, reporting to the Accounting Manager for India operations, will be pivotal in establishing scalable processes for sustained success.

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll get to:

• Prepare and maintain books of accounts and records in the ERP
• Assist month end close activities and year-end financial reporting of the India entity
• Own Accounts Payable process including the preparation of outstanding invoice tracker and assistance in preparation of bank payment file
• Work on fixed asset accounting
• Coordinate with the consultants in monthly and quarterly TDS and GST return filings
• Manage the India corporate credit card programs, handling card issuance, expense classification, and reconciliation
• Administer employee travel and expense reimbursements
• Provide audit support and ad-hoc reporting for management and other team members
• Communicate with the bank, vendors and other internal stakeholders

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

• 1-3 years + of accounting experience; Bachelors in accounting
• Completed internship in a company
• Familiarity with NetSuite
• Clear and concise communication skills with a proactive and determined mindset
• Attention to Detail, possess integrity and creative problem solving skills
• Advanced Excel skill
• Fluent in English and availability to work during US hours

This role will be based at our Bengaluru office and follows a Hybrid schedule that will be aligned with our Return to Office guidelines.
