Staff Accountant

A global Biotechnology company out of San Diego is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its team. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager, as well as sales and operations teams, to support financial processes and maintain accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Manage purchase orders and vendor records within QuickBooks Online. • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain vendor master files. • Process accounts payable and follow up on outstanding customer invoices. • Handle bank reconciliations, monitor daily transactions, and manage cash flow activities. • Assist with inventory and fixed asset counts during annual audits. • Collect W-9s from vendors and support 1099/1096 filings. • Support the annual budgeting process and balance sheet reconciliations. • Prepare journal entries with appropriate documentation. • Provide administrative support to management and other departments. • Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned.Qualifications: • 1+ year of accounting experience in a similar role. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with ERP systems. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). • Bilingual in English and Mandarin (preferred). • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Compensation & Benefits: • Salary: $55K – $60K, depending on experience. • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance. • 401(k) with company match. • Paid time off (PTO).This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization while expanding your accounting expertise.
