General Summary of Position:

Great opportunity for a Cost Accountant with a focus on inventory to be a part of a strong Accounting team in a fast-growing company. He/she would have the unique opportunity to have ownership over 1-2 product line's financials as well as inventory accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries for month-end close.
• Analyze, bookkeep and report on inventory cost of goods sold.
• Perform variance analysis on assigned general ledger accounts.
• Perform account analysis on 1-2 product line's revenue/direct costs.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support the annual and periodic audit process.
• Interface heavily with our Cost Audit department.
• Implement accounting process improvements.
• Complete special projects and other accounting functions as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience within Cost and/or Inventory accounting.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Proficiency at an intermediate to Advanced level with Microsoft Excel.
• Flexibility to work overtime during month-end close and other peak times, as needed.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CPA candidate a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft GP (Great Plains) helpful
• Sequel querying a definite plus
• Skilled in PowerPivot
