Job Summary

Farm, a Flex company with over 50 years of experience in providing award-winning development services for medical, life sciences, and consumer healthcare sectors, is seeking a Staff NPI/ Technical Lead based in Hollis, New Hampshire. The Staff NPI/ Technical Lead will be in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Recognize and assess manufacturing processes, technologies, and product designs for manufacturability, collaborating with product development teams to incorporate best practices.
  • Define, implement, and evaluate designs and processes according to DFX/ DFM, executing Value Analysis to identify opportunities for cost, yield, and assembly improvements.
  • Design and fabricate new process equipment, developing specifications and acceptance criteria while managing process risks through pFMEA and mitigation actions.
  • Establish robust process parameters and control methodologies, troubleshooting process-related issues and participating in cycle time and process improvement activities.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, interface with production for new process implementation, and provide training to personnel during technology transfers.
  • Design and modify automation equipment and tooling, creating technical manuals and troubleshooting guides, while overseeing capital equipment purchases and implementing safety and productivity improvements.
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
  • Typically requires 6 years of product development experience, medical industry experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and experience in conducting Value Analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve product designs.
  • Proficiency in designing and modifying automation equipment, along with the ability to develop process control methodologies and troubleshoot manufacturing issues, is necessary for successful implementation and improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Must have experience in NPI, Launch or Pilot Production
