Staff Pharmacist

Basic Home Infusion is looking for a part-time pharmacist to join our team in Farmers Branch TX. This is a hands on sterile-compounding role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Review prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. • Prepares, fills and compounds medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. • Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files and inventory. • Maintain and provide drug usage reports to our pharmaceutical partners as requested. • Perform PMP reporting in compliance with state requirements. • Plans and organizes activities in pharmacy services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with Physician request, administrative procedures, and best practices. • Engages in continuing education activities and other CEU opportunities related to improving pharmacy services. • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the DOP or Pharmacy Manager. • Ensuring the development, implementation, enforcement and updating as needed of company policies and procedures. • Participate in the quality assurance program for patient care. • Ensure ongoing monitoring assessment of documentation appropriateness, as well as effectiveness and safety of drug therapy. • Assists DOP and Pharmacy Manager to ensure that the pharmacy follows all State and Federal laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
