What you will do in this role: ● Provide counseling to patients regarding their medications to support appropriate and effective medical therapies ● Consult with prescribing practitioners to help ensure accurate and appropriate medication use ● Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration ● Ability to learn about working in a fulfillment operations role since we are also a mail-order Pharmacy ● Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach ● Maintains required licenses and certifications and must be in good standing with all regulatory agencies. ● Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards ● Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient/ employee/ customer as number one. ● Identifies and participates in the quality improvement and quality assurance programs of the department and within other service areas ● Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by taking ownership of time management, decreasing waste (of time and supplies), and promoting cost effectiveness while maintaining patient safety and quality of care. ● Communicate effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, business offices, and medical records) to provide continuity of patient care and meet the customers' needs. ● Demonstrates ability to fulfill attendance requirements, punctuality, and timekeeping practices. ● Behaviors and interactions demonstrate a positive attitude, personal initiative, and motivation to achieve the unit's goals. ● Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills ● Flexible and proactive in meeting varied patient and company needs ● Strong time management and organizational skills ● Generally, orders are small and easy to handle, but occasionally there are more oversized orders that require lifting and moving What qualifications will you need: ● Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree ● Must be able to work in the Houston, TX area ● Must have a valid, transparent, and active Texas Pharmacist license ● Preferred 1+ years of Pharmacist experience We want to fill this position as quickly as possible, so please reach out ASAP to learn more and apply.
