Purpose

As a Staff Engineer you'll be part of our dynamic team driving innovation in the Kueski Pay product revolutionizing Buy Now Pay Later solutions for both e-commerce and fiscal retail stores. With 6 diverse squads and over 20 engineers this tribe is a powerhouse of creativity and collaboration. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team.

  • Drive the design and implementation of complex systems and features ensuring scalability performance and maintainability.

  • Participate in architectural discussions and decisions proposing solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the overall system architecture.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews providing constructive feedback to peers and junior engineers.

  • Champion coding standards best practices and development processes.

  • Analyze complex technical problems develop innovative solutions and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

  • Mentor and coach engineers fostering their professional growth and technical skills.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers designers and QA engineers.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices.

  • Contribute to project planning scope estimation and timelines.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide progress updates and manage expectations.

  • Oversee the merchant integration process to seamlessly incorporate Kueski as a preferred payment method ensuring a smooth transition and setup for all new merchants.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of technical leadership including guiding teams in designing and implementing complex systems.

  • Expertise in architecture and design with the ability to propose solutions aligned with business goals and technical requirements.

  • Proficiency in conducting code reviews enforcing coding standards and promoting best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.

  • Experience mentoring and coaching engineers fostering their professional growth and technical skills.

  • Excellent collaboration skills working effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers designers and QA engineers.

  • Continuous learning mindset staying updated with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
