Staff Software Engineer, Product

Role

We are seeking a product-oriented Staff Software Engineer with experience delivering efficient solutions that address complex requirements. In this role, you will work on new product ideas with our Product teams. You'll also be critical in improving the existing architecture of data, analytics, and workflow systems internally and for our client-facing product. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand opportunities for improvements. You'll help guide the Engineering team on implementation and provide a detailed path for it. This position requires exceptional problem-solving, project management, leadership, and communication abilities, and demonstrated experience solving complex cross-domain problems.

This role is fully remote within the US.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to
• Find areas of improvement in our analytical tools, workflow, or existing architecture
• Create technical strategies to efficiently implement new features or wholly new product ideas
• Act as a leader and mentor in the Engineering organization

Your qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• In-depth experience working with end users to define requirements and understand problems from the user's perspective; ability to frames these problems not as engineering tasks but as ways to either add value or enable productivity of others
• Experience working at startups, and/or in the health tech space
• Experience working on software that aids in decision-making either through data visualization, data analytics, or configurable workflow and simulations
• You are accomplished either in the Engineering community or have been distinguished for driving value in a large organization
• You've made decisions on software architecture on at least two sizable projects
• Experience delivering frontend and backend changes
• Experience with AWS and IaC

Nice-to-have qualifications

• You're a former startup founder, or have been the first engineering hire at a startup
• Experience with relational and document databases, such as Postgres or MongoDB
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with dbt

Compensation

• $200K to $260K base salary + equity + benefits
